Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance System Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a building’s functionality, maintenance, safety, ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities through regular maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of various systems, including HVAC, industrial electrical, and mechanical components. The Facilities Maintenance System Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all employees. 3-5 years of experience in industry and/or trade school required.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Leading and managing a team of maintenance technicians, janitorial staff and/ or other facility personnel.
- Utilize tools such as VOM meter & HVAC gauges to troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various equipment and machinery within the facility.
- Analyze building system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Operate scissor lifts safely for maintenance tasks at elevated heights.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Organize and maintain a ticketing system for maintenance/repair requests.
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Create and maintain maintenance logs.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks.
· Coordinate with and monitor outside contractors, checking that the work assigned to the contractors is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
o Evaluating bids from different vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports.
Skills
- Proficiency in HVAC systems maintenance and repair.
- Conducting regular safety inspections, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety regulations, and following emergency preparedness plans.
- Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and relevant building codes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders, including management, employees, and contractors.
- Effectively supervising and motivating a team of maintenance personnel.
- Strong command of English for effective communication with team members and management.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as VOM meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience in field service roles with a focus on maintaining equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess system performance and identify root cause of issues.
- Familiarity with operating scissor lifts safely.
- A background in military service is a plus but not required.
- Proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- HVAC and/or electrical licensing or certifications are a plus.
