Production Team Leader / Forklift Operator

1st Shift (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM)

Pay : $18.00 / hr $2.00 / hr Attendance Bonus

Location : Troy, MI

Are you a skilled stand-up forklift operator with leadership experience? We're looking for a motivated and experienced Production Team Leader to join our team on 1st shift! If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are ready to guide a team, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities :

Material Handler Duties :

Ensure replenishment areas are stocked daily and materials are organized.
Pull and verify materials per production orders and customer requirements.
Use scanners and computer systems for tracking 'work in progress' and 'finished' goods.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move freight.
Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
Perform miscellaneous warehouse tasks as required.
Fill in as a shipping material handler when necessary.

Team Leader Duties :

Train and mentor new and existing packers on :

Basic packing procedures.

Part numbers, production sheets, and label printing.

Problem-solving techniques for part and box issues.

Time tracking and reporting.

Continuously assist in improving department processes and procedures.

Manage the Open Box Area and print production labels.

Secondary Duties :

Label and organize materials in the warehouse to ensure proper inventory storage.

Properly place incoming materials on racks.

Pack and sort parts as needed.

Qualifications :

Must have stand-up forklift experience .

Basic computer skills for data entry in Excel, label printing, and production tracking.

Leadership skills and a proactive attitude in training others.

Knowledge of packing, sorting, and production processes.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
