Job Summary
In this role, you will specialize in refurbishing and repairing laptops and other IT equipment to make them suitable for resale. This role requires a combination of computer and technical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the market to maximize the value of the equipment being refurbished
Brief Summary of Duties:
- Ensure re-marketable equipment is processed for sale and not recycled
- Repair, Test, and part out laptops, desktops, and servers
- Sort and track new and used parts installed in devices
- Travel for in/out of state special projects when required (Optional)
- Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation required.
- Other duties as assigned by department
Experience/Education Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient typing skills and be able to perform constant data entry
- A self-starter, able to multi-task and be able to work quickly and efficiently
- Resume must show a background working with computers
- Work history doing hardware repair
- Able to productively work as an individual and as part of a team
- Must be outgoing, energetic, able to multi-task and be able to prioritize workflow
- Creative when it comes to marketing and be able to quickly understand the value of IT type product.
Experience and/or Education Preferred:
- A certification or IT type degree
- PC Tech Experience
- Previous employment in computer related job
- Familiar with selling on the Internet sales websites
