Production Associate

Position Overview
You will be working in a raw meat processing facility, which involves cutting and handling raw pig meat, you will need to be comfortable in a Cold Environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting production line operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Duties include sorting, packing, and sealing food products, clearing jams, folding cardboard boxes or other packaging types, and handling packaging materials.
• Operate industrial-size equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, sorting machines, and packaging machines. Inspect product labeling to ensure accuracy, including proper dates and product types. Open packaging containing raw materials and use a pallet jack to move larger quantities of product.
• Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a clean workspace. Notify the Line Lead, Production Supervisor, or Plant Management of any mechanical or material issues.
• Demonstrate strong hand dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous production experience is recommended. Attend training sessions and demonstrate retention of safety and clean operation procedures for machinery.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, food quality requirements, and sanitation initiatives. Rotate to various roles on the production line as directed. Occasionally assist with packing, moving, or wrapping equipment and related parts.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $14.00 per hour
