Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The position will include outreach to individuals and community-serving organizations in Rochester to recruit for an intergenerational mentoring pilot study at the University of Rochester Medical Center. The work of The Human Subjects Recruitment Coordinator (HSRC 1) will involve a great deal of independence and responsibility. The HSRC 1 will attend project Advisory Board meetings, recruit study participants, assist with program evaluation and research measures and interviews, and collaborate with community organizations to develop training materials. To this end, the HSRC 1 will require knowledge of the background, purpose, inclusion criteria, and design for the study; independently create and maintain collaborative relationships with community organization; and responsibly maintain organization of all research-related processes, materials, and presentations. This is a TAR (Time as Reported) position.

- Independently developing engagement strategies to boost partnership with community organizations across the City of Rochester. This will involve emailing, calling, and visiting with community-based organizations. Will attend all Community Advisory Board meetings.
- Will be responsible for recruiting research subjects and completing the informed consent process.
- Data collection, entry, review, and data cleaning; Coding of observational data for analysis and contribution to publications and presentations.
- Administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, documenting meetings, subject payments, payment tracking and documentation.
- Being current on research training in ethics and other mandatory trainings as required by the University of Rochester.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Or Associate's degree and completion of 6 months in the Human Subject Research Coordinator Trainee program required.
- 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Word processing required.
- Professional Research Coordinator Certification (SoCRA or ACRP) preferred.
Salary : $21 - $30
