Service Parts Sales Representative

We are currently looking for an ambitious Service Parts Sales Representative who will be responsible for supporting the service department by sourcing, recommending, and selling parts for marine diesel engines and related systems. Must have a strong technical background in marine diesel engines, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to provide exceptional support to technicians and customers. 

In this role, you will:

• Assist technicians and service personnel in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for marine diesel engines and associated components. 
• Process parts orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery. 
• Provide technical guidance on part compatibility, applications and alternatives. 
• Utilize parts management software to track sales, orders, and inventory.
• Collaborate with teh service teams to ensure a smooth workflow. 
• Handle customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and delivery times. 
• Stay up to date on industry trends, new product offerings, and technical advancements.
• May perform other duties as required by business needs.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma required; Previous experience as a technician or certificate/degree from a trade school preferred. 
• 4 years of experience in marine diesel engine parts sales, service, or a related technical role.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Skills you will need:

• Strong technical understanding of marine diesel engines, transmissions, cooling systems, and fuel systems.
• Ability to read parts diagrams, manuals and schematics.
• High Energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process orders. 
• Willing to face complex issues head on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization.
• Ability to work well with technicians, vendors, and customers in a fast-paced environment. 
• Well-developed interpersonal skills abd excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first approach. 

What you can expect as a Service Parts Sales Representative:

• This position operates in both an office and industrial environment.
• Work is generally sedentary in nature but does require some standing and walking at times.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and lift up to 40 lbs.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

• Standard office hours are Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm.
• Must be available for on-call rotation for after hours call outs.
