Summer 2025 Intern - AI and Data Analytics

As an AI and Data Analytics Intern, you will work closely with our Vice President of Technology to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, machine learning, and technology integration. 

In this role, you will:

• Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources to support ongoing analytics projects. This may include pulling data from our ERP to track inventory levels, lead times, and vendor performance.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns and insights that can be leveraged to improve business processes. 
• Support the VP of Technology in building, training, and validating machine learning models. this may include working with Python, R, or other data science tools to create predictive models for supply chain optimization, such as forecasting demand for specific parts or predicting potential delays in the supply chain. 
• Contribute to specific supply chain-related projects, such as developing predictive models to estimate optimal reorder points, identifying bottlenecks in our distribution process, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency. 
• Help build models that use historical sales and inventory data to determine the best times to reorder stock, thereby reducing overstocking and minimizing stock outs. 
• Help integrate new technologies and data-driven solutions into existing systems, ensuring seamless implementation. This may include working with APIs to connect supply chain management tools with our data analytics platform. 
• Collaborate on innovative projects, contributing ideas and implementing solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Maintain clear documentation of processes, analyzes, and findings, and assist in preparing reports for stakeholders.
• May perform other duties as required by business needs. 

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 

Skills you will need:

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn.)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
• High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willing to face complex issues head on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization. 
• Well-developed interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature. 
• Strong customer service mentality.

What you can expect as a Customer Support Representative:

• This position operates in both an office and industrial environment.
• Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require some standing and walking at times. 
• Flexible hours. Must be available to work an average of 20 hours per week.
