As an Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our Engineering department tod develop 3D models, drawings, & prototypes of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
In this role, you will:
- Develop 3D Models using 3D and 2D CAD software.
- Creates prototype models for testing an evaluation.
- Creates and/or updates drawings.
- Assists with sheet metal design.
- Performs hear transfer calculations.
- Performs fluid calculations.
- May perform other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
- Completion of general program courses and Fluids & Thermodynamics highly preferred.
Skills you will need:
- Proficiency with 3D modeling, AutoCAD, and common drafting practices preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
- High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willing to face complex issues head on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.
- Strong customer service mentality.
What you can expect as a Customer Support Representative:
- This position operates in both an office and industrial environment.
- Regularly works around mechanical equipment and may be exposed to high noise levels at times.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl and climb ladders.
- Required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible hours. Must be available to work an average of 20 hours per week.
