What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer at Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant position at Laborers Local 1180?
Laborers Local 1180 is looking for motivated indivuals who are ready for steady long-term work. The decomissioning of Three Mile Island is a 10-year project that needs laborers like you to assist in its teardown.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for demolition of Three Mile Island facility
- Perform general labor duties such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Help with decontamination for workers exiting plant reactor
Reccommended Experience:
- Scaffold Building
- Use of a cutting torch
- Signaling and Rigging
- General Constrution Skills
Other Notes:
- Applicants will have to join Local 1180 in order to be permitted to work on site
- A Drivers License and Reliable Transportation are a must
- Applicants MUST be able to pass a mandatory drug test and understand that randomized drug testing will occur once on-site
- Applciants must be comfortable working at heights in excess of 30ft
- Applicants may not have any criminal felony history with-in the past 5 years to be elligible
- Applicants may be subject a credit check to determine if they could be in a current financial crisis, with the concern that applicants may be willing to commit detrimental acts to the facility for an outside party in exchange for compensation.
