Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the Service Repair Department, the Service Repair Technician represents Laborie by diagnosing and repairing internally manufactured medical device equipment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, proactive, and detail oriented. Must be customer focused and have the ability to manage time-sensitive projects with accuracy and efficiency. Must be willing to learn new things and have a team-centric, positive attitude.
About the Role:
- Troubleshoot and repair systems and devices returned for service in a timely manner, assessing repair needs and provide quotes to customers.
- Follow internal/external repair processes and assist other techs with complex tasks and troubleshooting.
- Extensively and accurately document all communication with customers, repair notes, billing information within global ticketing system and transact all repairs accurately and efficiently within the Laborie ERP system (SAP).
- Problem solve and escalate complex, advanced issues as needed and diagnose components requiring repair efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, soldering station, calibration equipment comfortably.
- Provide detailed insight regarding device repair to Technical Service team and train Junior Technicians on processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Positive, customer-focused team player who can also work comfortably independently.
- Electronics/computer repair experience.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including major components for Laptops and Desktops.
- SAP experience and well-versed in Microsoft Windows/Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Multi-tasking, analytical, and problem- solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in medical device manufacturing and ISO 13485 environment.
- Post-secondary school education in Computer Science or Service Repair field highly desired.
