About The Role
- Executing testing for product development and sustaining activities (Test Method Validation, Feasibility testing, Design Verification conditioning/testing, etc.).
- Creation and routing of documents and forms for approvals (Protocols/Reports, test methods, DWGs, SPECs, etc.); write protocols and reports for verification/validation testing of products through their lifecycle.
- General disposable medical device prototyping and device assembly in support of design optimization and design verification studies.
- Participate in variety of activities on new product development including design, prototyping, material selection, verification and validation, Human Factors Engineering/Usability, test method development and validation, design for manufacture/manufacturing transfer.
- Support integration of product acquisitions by assisting in design control gap analysis, implementation of existing documentation into the quality management system and creation/remediation of required design control documents.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or closely related engineering degree with 0-2 years' experience with technical aptitude and hands-on approach to engineering
- Strong ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and within tight deadlines and communicate and work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, comfortable presenting technical information
- Technical aptitude, "hands-on" approach to engineering, with a good understanding of engineering concepts, design for manufacturing, and experience with statistics and design of experiments.
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry with ISO 13485/ISO 9000
- 3D CAD software skills Solidworks
- Experience with statistics and design of experiments
