As a key member of the Operations team, the Injection Molding Technician will support our drug coated balloon device manufacturing and will be responsible all aspects of the injection molding process including setup and verify mold and process, run machines, PM mold and molding machines, sort, trim and package molded parts to meet production needs.

Who We’re Looking For
As a key member of the Operations team, the Injection Molding Technician will support our drug coated balloon device manufacturing and will be responsible all aspects of the injection molding process including setup and verify mold and process, run machines, PM mold and molding machines, sort, trim and package molded parts to meet production needs.
About The Role
- Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including but not limited to setup and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment and mold repairs and maintenance and workflow; run molding machines to provide molded components to ensure production schedules are met; inspect parts, documenting the visual and measurements at the start of a work order and at periodic intervals during the work order.
- Document and report equipment and quality problems as per QMS and associated training; generate and maintain documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility; support development of documents including setup sheets, forms and work instructions.
- Managing raw materials in way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination; coordinate molding machine, dryer and water heater preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Support development of scientific molding processes to bring parts into specification and development of automation, process monitoring and additional process improvements and expansions.
- High school or equivalent with 3 years’ experience in injection molding with good understanding of best practices of plastic injection molding processes and equipment
- Strong organizational, computer, verbal and written communication skills
- Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Medical device experience
- Understanding of scientific molding processes
