Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operational Coordination: Oversee and coordinate daily activities across yarn, packaging, seaming, dye house, knitting, and finishing departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Manufacturing Operations: Ensure all plant operations are executed efficiently, focusing on workflow optimization, production scheduling, machine utilization, and labor management to maximize output and quality.
- Team Management: Hire, manage, and hold department heads accountable, ensuring their activities align with strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Communication & Alignment: Establish clear, consistent communication channels among senior management, department heads, and production teams to maintain smooth operations, align objectives, and foster effective collaboration.
- Training & Development: Identify team training needs, develop effective training programs, and ensure these programs are properly executed and documented.
- Performance Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, production output, cost control, and quality assurance, using data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles—including Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)—to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Reporting & Updates: Provide the CEO and leadership team clear, timely updates on operational performance, accomplishments, and areas needing attention.
- Experience: 5 years of plant management or operations leadership experience in hosiery, textiles, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred: Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
- Leadership Skills: Strong organizational capabilities with proven ability to lead and motivate manufacturing teams effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively with the CEO, clearly direct department heads, and engage with diverse production teams.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient with data analysis, interpreting operational metrics, and using data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Operational Expertise: Practical knowledge of hosiery or textile manufacturing processes, including Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies, with a track record of increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations, legal standards, and compliance requirements specific to the textiles and hosiery industry, like WRAP and ISO Certification
