Job Summary: $45/hr $125 per diem a day
The SMAW 6G Stick Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on pipes in various positions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in 6G welding, a strong understanding of welding techniques and procedures, and a commitment to safety and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 6G stick welding on pipes and other structures as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Ensure all welding work meets or exceeds industry standards and specifications.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they are free of defects and meet quality standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of welding work areas.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a 6G Stick Welder. Weld Test Required.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding work.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various environments and adapt to different project requirements.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding equipment and perform welding tasks.
Certifications:
- 6G welding certification from a recognized institution or certification body.
- Additional welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in the field
- Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
