SMAW Pipe Welder

Job Summary: $45/hr $125 per diem a day

The SMAW 6G Stick Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on pipes in various positions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in 6G welding, a strong understanding of welding techniques and procedures, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 6G stick welding on pipes and other structures as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Ensure all welding work meets or exceeds industry standards and specifications.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they are free of defects and meet quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of welding work areas.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a 6G Stick Welder. Weld Test Required.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding work.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in various environments and adapt to different project requirements.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding equipment and perform welding tasks.

Certifications:

• 6G welding certification from a recognized institution or certification body.
• Additional welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in the field
• Exposure to high temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
