What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - NDT or IONM position at LABOURE COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE INC?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chair of Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT), the Instructor of NDT or Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) course(s) has the primary responsibilities of teaching NDT or IONM in an online format, capable of being fully delivered via the Internet, or other electronic medium, to students in off-campus locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
- The course(s) should be ready for instruction at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class.
- The course should be designed and materials archived in the College’s learning management system (LMS) and conform to best practices standards and guidelines, as set forth by, but not limited to, the Commission for Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP), the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET), the American Society of END Technologists (ASET), the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring (ASNM) and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS).
- Course content and all course materials, including textbooks, should be kept current and pedagogically viable for approximately three years.
- Instructors must be responsive to students within 24 hours or less.
- Lecture materials are to include a course syllabus, student learning outcomes, course objectives, student assignments (especially those fostering student interactivity), lectures, examinations and other assessments with answer keys, course content (i.e. the subject matter required to enable students to meet course objectives), a list of any required and supplementary course materials (both print and multimedia), and any other content deemed necessary or appropriate by the College.

- Adjust schedule to work within the Academic Calendar;

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
- ABRET Registered EEG Technologist or Certification in IONM with a minimum of 5 years clinical work experience;
- Familiarity in curriculum design, instruction, and counseling;
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision;
- Ability to handle and resolve student problems/issues efficiently and effectively;
- Good interpersonal relationship skills;
- Knowledge of teaching using online learning systems; and
- Ability to use various software packages.
