What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Materials Mover position at LABR?
We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Material Movers to join their team moving, loading, unloading, and staging construction material and local job sites around the Grand Rapids and surrounding areas.
Summary
As a Construction Materials Mover, you will be essential in the efficient handling and transportation of materials within the construction site. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include heavy lifting and ensuring the accurate distribution of materials. Your core skills in materials handling, along with premium experience in warehouse operations will be vital in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of construction materials.
- Ability to unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directive.
- Frequent heavy lifting of up to 100lbs.
- Ability to conform to all safety rules and regulations of the company and OSHA standards.
- Ability to inspect loads and ensure that the load is secured properly before leaving the facility.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking shipments.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
