POSITION SUMMARY As an Estimator/Project Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are budgeted accurately, completed on time, and meet our high standards of quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for high-end residential custom homes.
Review architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
Collaborate closely with the owner, operations manager, project managers, construction managers, architects, interior designers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing information and ensure project requirements are met.
Analyze market trends and monitor vendor pricing to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and maintain cost databases, tracking historical data to improve future estimating accuracy.
Review project scope and client budgets to ensure alignment with project goals.
Research new products, vendors, and subcontractors to meet client-specific requirements.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail in all estimates, ensuring that no elements of a project are overlooked.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors and our customers.
Assist in preparing and presenting final bids to clients.
Oversee and manage multiple high-end custom home projects from concept to completion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator/Project Manager in luxury residential construction.
Strong understanding of high-end building materials, construction techniques, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., BuilderTrend, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Proactive, organized, and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude who has the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to manage time effectively; ability to adjust priorities on a daily basis, while still accomplishing needed tasks within goals and deadlines given.
Ability to estimate multiple high-end custom home projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
Ability to easily build and maintain rapport with customers, architects, designers, vendors, suppliers, and internal professionals.
Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.
Exhibits a professional demeanor in dress, manners, and conduct.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written; critical listening and response skills.
Willingness to take on diverse responsibilities beyond standard job duties when needed.
High school diploma required; college degree preferable.
Familiarity with local subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors in the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay Area is a plus.
