What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brake Press Operator position at Labrie Enviroquip?
Labrie is hiring a full-time Brake Press Operator for our Lafayette, GA location. This is an on-site operator position working first shift. Ocassional overtime as needed will be required to fill production orders.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and angles
- Inspect finished products for quality control and make adjustments as necessary
- Handle materials, including loading and unloading metal sheets onto the press brake machine
- Use hand tools to assemble and weld metal components as required
- Package finished products for shipping or storage
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of materials handling and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly, welding, and fabrication
- Familiarity with different types of tooling used in press brake operations

Qualifications
- Education: HS Diploma or GED. Prior Brake Press skilled operator knowledge required.
