Labrie Enviroquip has an opening for a first shift Shipper in our LPC Warehouse Department in Lafayette, GA. If you are a motivated individual with experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving, we encourage you to apply for the position of Shipper.
Job Purpose: Responsible for managing the shipments of all products, materials and supplies. Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Collaborates and communicates with various departments as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage and organize shipments and warehouse inventory.
· Receive and inspect incoming shipments as needed.
· Prepare and package orders for shipments as needed.
· Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and LTO or Reach lifts to move materials.
· Promptly load and unload trucks using proper techniques.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
· Providing backup support in other areas as needed.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
· 6 months or more logistics, or customer service experience.
· Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
· Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment preferred.
· Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently.
· Proficient in picking, packing, and labeling orders
· Experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks, cherry pickers, Reach or lift truck.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
· Works well in a team environment
Skills:
· Good written and verbal communication skills required.
· Strong sense of time organization and urgency
· Able to work independently and within a team environment.
· Stock organization and control
· Shipping and receiving procedures; computer skills.
· Warehouse distribution center operations
· Material handling techniques
· Picking, packing, and labeling for accuracy.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
