JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Laboratory Manager (4712)
Location: LaPorte, TX
Position Summary:Our client in the LaPorte, TX area is looking for an Assistant Laboratory Manager that will ensure that the operations and routines of the laboratory are maintained in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maintaining daily laboratory operation in accordance with the Quality Policy Statement
- Cooperation with the Quality Manager on the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
- Assist the laboratory staff with the implementation of the Quality Management System
- Supervise and facilitate daily work of the laboratory group.
- Implement laboratory work schedules issued by the Lab Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels of the laboratory during operational hours.
- Facilitate and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance programs
- Familiarize and follow environmental guidelines as established
- Ensure that data is verified
- Oversee the control of documentation and QMS system through audits and reviews
- Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory
- Other duties as assigned in the absence of the laboratory manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry etc is preferred)
- Supervisory experience preferred

Direct Hire
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday but must be available as requested.
Salary:
$60,000 (Please provide request)
