JOB DESCRIPTION QC Lab Technician (4708)
Location: SW Houston Area
Position Summary:The QC Lab Technician is responsible for the analysis of raw, in-process, and finished goods for a chemical manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize a variety of analytical techniques to test samples during all steps of production
- Analytical techniques can include HPLC, GC, ICP, HPLC, IC, LC, viscosity, surface tension, etc
- Conduct basic calibration & maintenance on equipment
- Follow all safety protocols
- Accurately report all data from analysis into system
- Assist with lab inventory
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years' industry experience
- Associates/High school diploma with 2-4 years' industry experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure
Type of Assignment:
- Temp - Hire
Shift Schedule:
Mon Fri 7am-4pm, Noon-9pm (shifts may vary)
