Production Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION Production Operator (4707) Location: East Houston, TX area Position Summary: The Operator is responsible for assisting in running units used in the production operation.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with other operators in daily functions
• Work with Shift Supervisor to troubleshoot equipment problems
• Maintain document updates to ensure compliance
• Adhere to "Job Checklists"
• Operate forklift when needed
• Accurately label finished products
• Unload chemical trucks
• Count bins and verify counts as needed.
• Understand and maintain Hazardous waste label procedures and ensure drums are labeled appropriately
• Attend all trainings and meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain Safety requirements of the Operations
  • Safety equipment policies, LOTO, Permitting, etc.
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Workbook specific requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Two years chemical process experience or two years maintenance experience in petro-chemical industry is preferred.
• Forklift operating experience and must be able to pass EUS Forklift Certification

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms, regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
• Able to pass and maintain HAZWOPER trainings
• Must be clean shaven and able to pass respirator fit test

Shift Schedule:
Dupont Schedule
Days 5:30am-6:00pm
Nights 5:30pm-6:00am

Salary:
$25/hr
