Principal IT Architect - SAP Service Management

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Architect to support and optimize SAP Service Management, Plant Maintenance, Plant Management, and related business processes through a global ERP system transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. In this role, you will serve as the technical owner within our business transformation program. Your primary focus will be on developing, enhancing, and supporting system functionality in SAP, collaborating closely with the ServiceMax development team. You will analyze, design, test, and deliver business and information system solutions that align with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities related to identifying business requirements, developing solutions, and implementing them within the Service-to-Cash process, working alongside cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to understand and enhance business processes.
  • Configure the SAP S4 Service System and assess new capabilities to meet business objectives.
  • Recommend technical solutions that meet business needs and adhere to global design standards.
  • Apply technical knowledge to introduce solutions and improvements.
  • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Adhere to project plans, managing tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Communicate project status and escalate issues when necessary, ensuring technical deliverables meet deadlines.
  • Ensure the quality and completeness of technical documentation according to established methodologies and processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, recommend workarounds, and implement solutions.
  • Design, build, test, and implement system or application enhancements, recommending alternatives when appropriate.
  • Provide support in S4 Service Management and interface with ServiceMax.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience with SAP modules (S4HANA and/or SAP ECC6)
  • Expertise with SAP Service Management, SAP Sales and Distribution, and SAP Plant Maintenance modules.
  • Experience with SAP core functionalities, including notifications, service orders, preventive maintenance, pricing, credit management, and customer master data.
  • Experience in large enterprise SAP development projects, with an understanding of the software development lifecycle and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ability to lead teams and provide technical guidance to achieve project goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in designing and documenting technical solutions.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the S/4HANA Service Management module and knowledge of current and future functionalities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 5 years of relevant experience in a technology-focused role.
