Summary

LACO Technologies is seeking a Chiller Mechanical Assembly Technician. This position is key to providing on-time assembly for our chiller product line. This position is for someone who has HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller equipment mechanical aptitude and would like to get started in a career with a company that will allow you to grow in your craft.

Requirements

Responsibilities :

Assemble mechanical components of industrial chillers, including piping, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers, according to blueprint, technical diagrams, and work instructions.
Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and sealing of parts to meet quality and safety standards.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of assembled chillers to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
Document work completed by work order entry and provide feedback to supervisors on production challenges or bottlenecks.

Desired Skills

Proficiency in using tools such as wrenches, drills, torque wrenches, and other assembly equipment

Ability to read and follow instructions.

Work center organizational skills in supporting site improvement initiatives

Highly motivated, self-starter, capable of working independently and in a team setting.

Basic computer skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs. stand for extended periods.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications : HVAC or refrigeration certification is a plus but not required.

2 years of mechanical assembly or related experience (preferably with HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller systems)

Compensation & Benefits

Pay : $26.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience.

Shift : Monday through Friday regular business hours with some flexibility in your start and stop times. As well as the ability to participate in our 9 / 80 work schedule which gives you every other Friday off.
