We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities. Duties:
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand their needs and preferences
- Assist in the development and implementation of recreational therapy programs
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Plan and organize events, outings, and group activities for residents
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Ensure the activity area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and techniques
- Understanding of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
