Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe patient environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient information accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
