What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Police Officers position at Lacon Police Department?
The City of Lacon Police Department is seeking a certified, qualified, and highly motivated individual to fill the position of part time Police officer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 21 years of age or older
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Be certified in the State of Illinois as a full-time or part time law enforcement officer.
· No Felony convictions or criminal history indicating moral turpitude.
· Be of sound moral character.
· Ability to pass any requirements including, but not limited to, physical and drug screen.
· Ability to pass an in-depth criminal and personal background investigation.
· Open availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Be able to complete a field training program and 1-year probationary period.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
As of May 2025 the Projected Full time Starting hourly wage $30.00
As of May 2025 the Projected Part time Starting hourly wage $26.00
