Job Description
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. This includes evaluating patients/residents to collect data, observing condition, and reporting changes in condition. Additionally, the LPN contributes to nursing assessments and care planning, administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders, and supervises and monitors patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure. You must also maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
