Summary Description
This position will support the Accounts Receivable department primarily through the sales audit function focusing on sales integration and bank reconciliations. This role will work closely with Finance, Retail Operations, IT, and Loss Prevention to ensure interfaces are working properly, protecting company cash, and implementing best in class policy.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Daily cash posting of lockbox receivables and proper posting/coding of chargebacks for US & Canada.
- Perform Sales integration to bring POS sales into ERP system and ensure accuracy between both systems.
- Perform bank reconciliation for all retail locations as well as e-commerce platform (sales v. bank deposits).
- Work closely with Loss Prevention and Retail Operations to proactively track cash incidents, implement sound procedure, and prevent cash losses.
- Interact with Controlling/FP&A Teams for increasing/releasing of reserves as well as coordinating to obtain correct GL and Cost Centers (for Balance Sheet & P&L Accruals).
- Work with Customer Service to research frozen transactions, open invoices and perform customer refunds as needed.
- Manage relationship with 3rd party chargeback service and utilize reporting functions to inform Finance of P&L impact on monthly basis.
- Perform any specific process that may result as part of RACI, role evolution, or Ad Hoc request.
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements
- College level accounting classes or accounting degree preferred
- Experience in a medium or large sized multinational company a plus
- Prior experience in a retail/wholesale environment a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, ability to work with pivot tables, lookups and IF statements a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP a plus
