From your PASSION to ours
The Engineering Intern is a 10-week paid summer internship that will work within the Industrial Engineering team under the guidance and supervision of the Manager of Engineering Maintenance. The intern will be working with the engineering/maintenance manager for the duration of the internship assisting with several projects in the plant. The internship is an onsite role that will be based out of our Wausau location.
The internship program begins June 9th and will go until August 15th.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assist M/E Manager and Engineering Support Specialist in execution of administrative tasks related to CapEx projects, including but not limited to acquiring project and material quotes/costs
- Assist planning and scheduling of projects with internal departments and contractors
- Work on encompassing project to update Auto CAD drawings of the plant
- Learn and understand dairy/food manufacturing processes
- Learn and understand the Lactalis engineering function and capital submission process
- Participate in regular production meetings to understand the Plant's daily operation
Requirements
From your STORY to ours
Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
- Candidate will possess or be pursuing a BS, MS, or ME, with a specialization in engineering preferred or related field preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD software suite including creating process and P&ID drawings and updating existing drawings. Basic or higher, AutoCAD abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Detailed statistical analysis skills using MS Excel a plus
- Proactive and results-oriented in a time-sensitive environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain flexibility in an ever-changing environment
