Community Engagement Assistant
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Hours & Schedule: Part Time, Monday- Thursday, 20 hours/ week
Report To: Community Engagement Coordinator
Starting Pay: $20/hr

About the Role
The Community Engagement Assistant will support the Community Engagement Coordinator in promoting LADD"s work and connecting with individuals and families. This rile will assist with community outreach, intake processes, and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth experience for people served by LADD.
Department & Purpose
Programs
- Support LADD's mission to empower adults with developmental disabilities to live, work, and connect.
- Engaging directly with developmentally disabled adults and their families based on their specific needs
Essential Functions
- Assist in managing program inquires and serve as a secondary point of contact
- Support relationship-building with disability rights organizations, service providers, and regularity bodies
- Help facilitate research and storytelling projects involving people served by LADD
- Assists in attending, tabling, and presenting at events, transition fairs, and conferences
- Supports the intake process by scheduling and coordinating assessments, interviews, and documentation
- Help conduct program tours and provide provide information to prospective individuals and families
- Maintain and update the program waitlist under the guidance of the Community Engagement Coordinator
- Aid in coordinating patent activities and assist in planning family meetings and events
- Model The LADD Way (TLW) and uphold a positive representation of LADD in the community
Additional Responsibilities
- Support specials projects as needed
- Advocate for LADD's mission and programs in the community
- Attend relevant seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay informed on rules and regulations
Education/Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's Degree preferred)
- At least one year of experience in customer service or related role
- Basic knowledge of disability services is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work well with diverse individuals and maintain a welcoming attitude
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Primarily office-based work with some travel to remote sites
- Flexible schedule, typically Monday through Thursday, with occasional evenings or weekends
- Must be able to navigate different work environments and be comfortable traveling to multiple locations
