Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests in various areas including specimen processing, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Prepare and analyze samples in compliance with laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine quality control procedures to ensure the reliability of laboratory results.
- Operate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot basic operational issues.
- Accurately record and report test results.
- Support patient care by managing timely collection and processing of laboratory specimens.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment by following infection control and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers regarding laboratory findings.
- Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Certification: AMT or ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software systems.
