Qualifications:
- 2 years of professional experience in music education teaching high school or college and performances in teaching Percussion instruments such as snare rudiments, timpani, drumkit, and auxiliary percussion instruments.
- Experience with marching, concert and auxiliary percussion, and drumkit also required.
Duties:
- Conduct small group lessons focusing on ensemble playing, intonation, balance, blend, and stylistic accuracy.
- Prepare students for performances.
- Monitor and assess each student's progress, providing constructive feedback and adjustments to the lesson plans as needed.
- Encourage and facilitate group practice sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of each student's progress and attendance.
- Communicate regularly with students and the Music Director regarding student progress, upcoming performances, and other relevant matters.
