Location: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER)Position: Part-timeDuties:
- Coordinate with the chaplain for regularly scheduled worship services, special services/events, and seasonal observances.
- Ensure musical selections are appropriate for the type of worship service and Christian season.
- Provide music for funerals, memorials, and other observances.
- Set up, take down, and properly store musical equipment.
- Ensure chapel facilities are secured and clean after use.
- Preferred: Degree in music from an accredited institution.
- Minimum: Four years of experience in Protestant Church music.
- Proficiency in playing piano from sheet music or hymnal and assisting in vocal leads.
- Knowledge of Protestant Traditional music.
- Demonstration of musical ability, including playing hymnal music and reading sheet music.
