Job Summary:

The Wellness Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Argyle Assisted Living Community’s Wellness Center. This role works in collaboration with a third-party Physical Therapy organization to support residents' supervised exercise programs. The Wellness Center Supervisor ensures all activities align with the organization’s mission to promote resident well-being, mobility, and independence. This position involves direct resident interaction, scheduling, assessments, and administrative tasks while embodying a culture of Unreasonable Hospitality, ensuring that every resident and family interaction goes beyond expectations to create a truly welcoming and enriching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Services & Program Implementation

  • Coordinate and oversee supervised exercise programs in partnership with the third-party Physical Therapy provider.

  • Schedule and assist residents with wellness and exercise sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing wellness assessments to track residents’ progress and make program adjustments as needed.

  • Encourage resident participation in wellness programs and provide motivation and support.

  • Maintain communication with caregivers, families, and medical professionals regarding resident progress and concerns.

  • Provide a personalized and thoughtful experience, ensuring that every interaction with residents conveys warmth, attentiveness, and care beyond expectations.

Administrative & Scheduling Duties

  • Develop and manage the schedule for wellness sessions, including group classes, individual sessions, and therapy appointments.

  • Maintain accurate resident records, progress notes, and reports.

  • Coordinate wellness assessments and reassessments in accordance with company policies and resident needs.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

  • Assist with tracking and reporting resident participation and program effectiveness.

  • Order and maintain necessary supplies and equipment for the Wellness Center.

  • Approach administrative tasks with a service mindset, ensuring that all processes support a seamless and uplifting experience for residents and families.

Team Collaboration & Supervision

  • Act as a liaison between The Argyle, the Physical Therapy provider, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff involved in resident wellness activities.

  • Attend staff meetings and provide updates on Wellness Center activities and resident progress.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support resident wellness goals.

  • Foster a culture of Unreasonable Hospitality within the team by leading through example, demonstrating kindness, going the extra mile, and ensuring that every staff member prioritizes resident comfort and well-being.

Resident & Family Engagement

  • Educate residents and families about the benefits of wellness programs.

  • Communicate program updates and encourage family involvement in resident wellness activities.

  • Address resident and family concerns regarding wellness programs and make necessary adjustments.

  • Ensure that every interaction is marked by generosity, thoughtfulness, and an unwavering commitment to making residents and their families feel valued, respected, and at home.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in wellness programming, senior fitness, or a related healthcare field.

  • Background in working with seniors, particularly in an assisted living or similar environment.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with experience in scheduling and record-keeping.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare partners.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of senior wellness practices, physical therapy coordination, and exercise safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other scheduling/record-keeping systems.
