We are a new and emerging facility in Ladoga, IN, specializing in substance use disorder treatment, offering detox services and short-term residential recovery programs as a non-skilled facility.
Position Summary
The Facility Manager at Ladoga Recovery Center is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and safety of the facility, ensuring the property and grounds are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards. This role also serves as the Safety Officer, responsible for conducting inspections, implementing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the overall safety and functionality of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, including carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and heating.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, and pipes (excluding work requiring a licensed contractor).
- Conduct general carpentry work, including repairing porches, walls, windows, doors, and siding.
- Inspect the facility to identify maintenance needs and perform corrective actions.
- Maintain landscaping and green spaces to ensure a well-manicured property.
- Manage maintenance work orders efficiently to keep the facility in optimal working condition.
- Maintain relationships with contractors and vendors performing work at the facility.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual life safety and environment of care inspections.
- Ensure company vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and inspected.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including power saws, drills, compressors, and pressure washers.
- Maintain security camera & badging systems.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: 5 years of general handyman experience with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (M.E.P.) systems.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform general repairs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in operating maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently while following safety guidelines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
- Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on maintenance tasks.
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and operating power tools.
- Schedule: Flexible availability, including occasional weekends and emergencies.
