The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient handling of materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that products are moved safely and effectively throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Perform order-picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage during transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations and meet production goals.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and storage as required.
Skills
- Strong experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting.
