Dog Walker

Small but fast growing dog walking company looking for part time walkers. Needs to be available occasional weekends. Do you love dogs and cats? Are you interested in working with animals? If yes, please read through the requirements and if they apply to you we would love to hear from you.

Requirements for the position

• Honest
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Reliable
• A genuine love for and connection with dogs and cats
• Ability to learn and follow all safety protocols. This is extremely important. The safety of Lady Grace clients and our walkers is paramount.
• Available at least two days Monday through Friday 10am-4pm and at least two weekends a month if needed, weekends could include morning afternoon and night visits.
• Must work holidays and the days surrounding the holiday if needed. We do our best to be fair with holidays, giving completely off (day of holiday) if able or giving family time at the very least. Extra pay on holidays. Please do not apply if you can not work holidays. In the pet care industry, holidays are our busiest time. Including but not limited to New Year's Eve, Spring Break, Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July, Labor Day Weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Ability to operate company app, leave notes and take quality photos
• Unlimited data plan on a smart phone that has enough storage to add several new apps.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and insurance
• Excel at time management and working independently
• Able to handle dogs 100 lbs
• Able to walk up to two dogs at a time
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, sit on floor with puppies and walk long distances. Full time walker averages 12 walking miles a day.
• Able to pass a background check and reference check
• Tolerance for being outside in all types of weather. For example, rain, snow, extreme heat and extreme cold.
• Outgoing and friendly personality when speaking with clients and fellow walkers
• Basic knowledge of dog and cat care. Professional experience not required and not preferred
• Fyi: Onboard training sessions are almost always scheduled in the evenings or on weekends
• Meet and greets are complimentary to the client. They are Unpaid to all walkers and the owner. We all must meet the animals and learn all about them before caring for them. This applies whether you meet the fur client with their parents or while shadowing another walker.

We have the most amazing clients, Hooman and furry! They not only receive 5 star service, they deserve it! We care for the sweetest little bugs. You will fall in love with all these fur babies and could never get tired of all their love and kisses.

Owner of Lady Grace is personally booked Monday through Friday, all holidays and the entire summer. Part time walkers help with the overflow of walks giving the same high quality service the owner would. Treating these babies like your own and keeping them safe above all else. Typically these walks fall within the 10am-4pm range Monday through Friday. Vacation dogs are morning afternoon and night visits. These clients are only taken care of by part time walkers when owner needs a day/night off or is fully booked. We are a family at Lady Grace and work as a team to make sure all the babies get their visits and walkers get days off too.

Our service area is centered in Lenexa. We also serve Shawnee, Northern Olathe and Overland Park. There will be driving involved to get to each client. We would very much prefer someone that lives in our service area. If you live outside our service area, please be aware of your commute.

What you can expect from Lady Grace

• Extensive training from owner with 22 years experience. (This training is required and is apart of the interview process)
• Paid training $18/hr
• Pay is a percentage of each walk completed, averaging $20-25/hr plus tips. Average depends on the percentage level you are at. Raise given after 90 day probational period with exceptional service and performance.
