Position Overview:
We are excited to announce that we are under new ownership! Laetitia Vineyards and Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Tasting Room Associate to join our team. As a Tasting Room Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests while promoting and selling our award-winning wines. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, share the story of our winery, and guide visitors through an unforgettable wine tasting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience:
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a memorable visit. Provide personalized wine tasting experiences, educating guests about our wines, vineyard, and winemaking process.
- Wine Education:
Share in-depth knowledge of Laetitia’s wines, the history of the winery, and the unique features of our terroir, helping guests discover wines that match their preferences.
- Sales and Promotion:
Promote and sell wine, merchandise, and club memberships, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Event Assistance:
Support winery events such as tastings, tours, wine club pick-up parties, and private events, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Tasting Room Operations:
Assist with daily tasting room setup, cleaning, and breakdown. Ensure that the tasting room is always tidy, organized, and well-stocked with wine, glasses, and merchandise.
- Customer Service:
Address any guest inquiries or concerns in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. Resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Wine Club Support:
Assist with wine club sign-ups, providing information about membership benefits, and ensuring a positive customer experience for all wine club members.
- Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Tasting Room team to maintain a positive and cooperative work environment. Participate in staff training sessions to stay informed about new wine releases, tasting room procedures, and customer service techniques.
Qualifications:
- Passion for wine and exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or a tasting room environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Sales experience, with a drive to meet or exceed goals
- Knowledge of wine varieties, tasting notes, and basic wine service techniques is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in an outdoor or indoor environment depending on the weather
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, and move cases of wine (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
- Ability to adapt to the changing duties within daily operations
