Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing cash transactions and maintaining stock levels throughout the store. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas and stockrooms.
- Stock shelves with produce and other grocery items, ensuring proper rotation and presentation.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations on products.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to restock shelves or organize warehouse inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in both cashiering and stocking duties.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory needs or customer feedback.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly work environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with produce handling and grocery store operations is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for inventory management purposes.
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $21.98 - $23.51 per hour
