Your primary responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with their inquiries, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash.
- Maintain knowledge of store products to assist customers effectively.
- Stock shelves and ensure product displays are organized and visually appealing.
- Communicate promotions and upsell products to enhance customer experience.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in supervising or training staff is advantageous but not required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
