Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for driving business and maintaining Lafayette 148’s standards of service, merchandising and operational execution. He or she is responsible for top line sales and bottom-line profit by leveraging tools and experience to lead a team of Stylists in delivering extraordinary client experiences that drive positive business results and ensure customer loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that sales and service meet and exceed company standards, and lead initiatives to enhance sales and overcome challenged results when necessary
- Own store control-related operational processes including but not limited to inventory management, loss prevention, sell through, store expenses, audits, and payroll
- Ensure merchandise is presented in accordance with visual, marketing, and operational standards and direction
- Create a ‘best in class’ selling environment by exemplifying and leading Lafayette 148 brand standards with team
- Seek input from customers to measure satisfaction and ensure consistent adherence to service standards
- Maintain relationships within the community to engage and cultivate target customers
- Oversee the creation and execution of local business development marketing strategies
- Engage in proactive dialog with buying team to communicate customers’ requests and surface merchandise opportunities to drive business
- Lead the mindset that “recruitment is everyone’s responsibility” within the store; cultivate a lineup of potential candidates for open roles
- Provide leadership and tailored coaching to Stylists by delivering ongoing training, development and performance feedback
Desired Background
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience
- 6 years of retail management experience including 2 years in designer/ luxury sector
- Experience managing a commissioned selling environment a strong plus
Skills
- Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to develop, plan and execute strategies to maximize opportunities
- Proficiency in utilizing available technology including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holiday schedules
Base Pay Range
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
