What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tree Trimmer position at Lafayette Consolidated Government?
PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK
This is work cutting or trimming trees in the public right-of-way adjacent to and overhanging streets and sidewalks. Work requires performance of tasks from a bucket truck to reach limbs and branches to be trimmed.
DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school and experience in tree trimming work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Valid Driver's license required to apply. Possession of a class B commercial driver's license, with airbrake endorsement as issued by the State of Louisiana, within six months after date of hire.
TYPE OF EXAMINATION
Examination will be a performance test operating a bucket truck and chainsaw cutting branches.
