Referral Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Referral Specialist to join our team. The Referral Specialist will be responsible for managing the referral process and ensuring timely and accurate coordination of new patient referrals. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance verification.

This candidate will be responsible to upload medical records, and referrals to the new patient chart, set up new patients in our EMR and manage a spreadsheet that tracks the progress of every referral coming into our practice. Organization and detail are the two skills necessary to be successful in this position.

Other key responsibilities include performing effectively in situations that require direction, control, planning, and execution of the daily schedule. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work well with others in a polite and tactful manner while maintaining confidentiality and exercising good judgment when handling sensitive information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Visual acuity for chart review and equipment operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate

Medical office training and or experience

Good communication skills

Ability to operate computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
