Pediatric Nurse Position (LPN or RN):
Seeking a pediatric nurse to provide care & advice for birth thru adolescent patients. A medical professional who can establish helpful and friendly relationships with our patients and their families in our active office. Duties will include assisting the Vaccine Coordinator.
Main responsibilities:
- Assess a child’s needs and provide initial care
- Identify changes in children’s symptoms and intervene in emergency situations
- Triage phone calls, schedule appointments, obtain necessary patient information to update patient chart, ensure all forms and consents are completed
- Inform parents how to care for and what to expect from well and sick children
- Pre-certify/authorize testing, referrals, prescriptions
- Carry out provider’s order’s (injections, tests, medication, referrals, prescriptions, forms, phone calls)
- Assist providers with medical treatments and/or procedures
- Receive test results & contact patients, as necessary
- Vaccine Coordinator Assistant (meet VFC requirements, training provided)
- Maintain the privacy & security of PHI/EPHI
Qualifications for Pediatric Nurse:
- LPN or RN, CT license required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal & critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate courteously, clearly, and effectively
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
