What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at Lafferty Equipment Manufacturing Inc?
The Production Planner is responsible for production planning, capacity planning, and scheduling of production following customers’ requirements and requests issued by the sales team or for Make to Stock (MTS) purposes.
This is an on-site position located in North Little Rock, AR.
$25-27 hr Depending on Experience
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple products and lines.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Assign workers and other staff to production operations.
- Schedule shift according to production needs.
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Able to read and understand Bills of Materials (BOM) for the units to be assembled.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and help others.
- Ability to ensure themselves and colleagues are following known safety requirements.
- Support On-Time Delivery objectives by collaborating with Customer Experience team to ensure orders are being prioritized and shipped on time.
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
- All other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma: Further education or certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as Production Planner
- Three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- Good at math and statistics.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
- Prolonged periods standing and or sitting.
- Fast paced environment.
$41,600-$60,000 Depending on Experience
