Description :

The Shipping & Receiving Quality Control Technician will be responsible for performing pre-shipment inspections of finished goods, to ensure our products have been built & packaged to specification and are ready to ship, defect-free. Additionally, this position will assist in the inspection and testing of incoming materials and components, ensuring that the physical product received conforms to requirements.

Requirements :

Conduct visual inspections and dimensional measurements on samples of incoming materials.
Conduct pre-shipment inspections on finished goods.
Verify special instructions regarding product requirements are met.
Use a variety of measuring tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record inspection and test data, as required.
Log non-conforming materials, deviations, or other findings and report to manager / supervisor.
Record inspection results and / or test results, as required.
Adhere to safety protocols & quality policy to maintain a safe &productive work environment.
May be asked to participate in internal audits, reviews, continuous improvement, or other activities as determined by manager / supervisor.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

Experience with quality inspection techniques and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and record-keeping experience.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or other quality management system standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.

1 years of related experience within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to maintain documents and records, both digital and physical.

Basic computer literacy and skills; ability to use applications such as MS Excel.

Ability to use measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Ability to read and understand technical documents, such as engineering drawings and specification sheets.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility.

Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at a time, without assistance.

Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
