Job Description:
As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and the repair shop. You will help clients understand their vehicle issues, recommend services, provide accurate cost estimates, and ensure the repair process runs smoothly. You will be responsible for managing customer expectations, scheduling appointments, and working closely with our technicians to deliver top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and determine their automotive service needs.
Advise customers on necessary repairs and services, providing detailed explanations.
Prepare and present accurate cost estimates for repairs and services.
Schedule appointments and follow up with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
Maintain communication between the customer and repair team, ensuring timelines and expectations are met.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
Process payments, manage invoices, and maintain customer records.
Maintain a clean and organized desk and customer waiting areas.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive service advising or other similar customer facing role within the automotive industry. Minimum 1 year experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear, friendly manner.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multitask, manage time effectively and be a self-starter.
Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes required.
Customer-focused with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
Proficient in using automotive service management and other computer-based software.
