Job Description: We are looking for self-motivated, punctual, and passionate individuals who love working with children to fill the role of part-time teacher's aide. This role is crucial in supporting our teachers and ensuring a positive and enriching learning experience for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Manage and coordinate the drop-off and pick-up line for Pre-K to Elementary age students, ensuring their safety and friendly interactions.
- Support Classroom Activities: Assist teachers with small group lessons, reading groups, and large classroom projects. Provide one-on-one support to students as needed to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms and commonly used areas to ensure a hygienic environment. This includes regular sanitizing of surfaces and organizing classroom materials.
- Supervise Recreational Times: Oversee recess, lunch, and nap times, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. Encourage positive social interactions and manage conflicts as they arise.
- Substitute Teaching: Step into classrooms as a substitute teacher when necessary, maintaining the continuity of the learning process and managing classroom activities.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other school activities and events as required, contributing to the overall success of the school community.
Qualifications:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, stretch, and comfortably perform physical activities required in a classroom setting. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Background Checks: Must pass a comprehensive background check, child abuse and neglect check, and obtain a TB skin test.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
- Reliability: Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in previous roles. Ability to adhere to a consistent work schedule.
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position beginning January 6th, with work hours from either 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Compensation: The starting wage for this position is $13 per hour.
