*Must be a licensed Dietician/Nutritionist
*Must have a current Louisiana Driver's License
Job Summary
The qualified consulting dietician is a consultant who is not considered to be an employee. The consulting dietician shall possess a current state of Louisiana license and shall establish an organized system for the delivery of food service instructions/directives. The individual will work closely with the Home Managers to ensure appropriate nutritional needs are being met. Work is performed in the community home setting with visits at least quarterly or as needed based on the residents' individualized support planning needs.
Job Duties
*Maintain a current list of individuals with special nutritional needs
*Have an effective method of recording and transmitting diet orders and changes *Record in the individuals' medical records information relating to special
nutritional needs
*Provide nutrition counseling to staff and individuals and manage/coordinate the
resources of the dietary services to achieve effective, efficient, and sanitary production
*Ensure any modified diet for an individual is prescribed by the individual's
physician and service plan with a record of the prescription kept on file; planned, prepared and served by community home staff who have received adequate training; and periodically reviewed and adjusted as needed
